Lost: Luggage and Patience

The hubby and I just returned from a trip to Texas. We flew out of our local airport connected in DC and arrived in Austin. As usual, we went to the baggage claim to get our stuff, two rolling duffel bags. Mine came down the conveyor belt and we quickly snagged it. The hubby’s? Well, it never arrived. Somewhere along the way, it got lost.

The bag arrived to the airport later in the afternoon but it did not arrive to us until almost midnight with the courier calling every so often to say that he was 45 minutes away.

Austin was nice. It was hot. We hung out with family. We saw a lot of sights. We also visited San Antonio again (we were there a few years ago). From Austin, we flew to Dallas on Southwest Airlines.

Dallas was nice. It was hot. We saw a lot of sights. We also visited Fort Worth. From Dallas we flew home with a layover in Atlanta. At our airport, we went to the baggage claim to get our stuff, two rolling duffel bags. Mine came down the conveyor belt and we quickly snagged it. The hubby’s? Well, it never arrived. Somewhere along the way, it got lost. Sound familiar?

The hubby’s bag was lost both times on two different airlines. His bag ended up in Salt Lake City and apparently had a more eventful trip than we did. We live on the east coast. The bag did not arrive to our house until late the next afternoon.

Let me be clear. I ‘Like’ your post NOT b/c your poor husband lost his luggage (that would just be mean) but b/c your retelling of the tale was so funny! The idea of your hubby’s bag having more fun that the 2 of you – love it!
