healthy obsessions

Sometimes I get on these trips (for lack of a better word) where I obsess over certain topics. They can be people, ideas, music… anything really. Usually my obsessions die down after my curiosity has waned, so I guess this page will be updated from time to time.

At the moment, here are the healthy or not-so-healthy obsessions of mine. The further you read, the stranger the list is. :P

  1. David Cook, added April 19, the blog says it all. :) Can you believe he just surpassed Johnny on my list? That’s quite a feat. My Word Nerd number is 2808.
  2. John Mayer. He’s number 1 right now and will probably stay that way for a while, and everything else is just an unranked bullet point. I just love his music and his way of thinking. I can relate to both. He’s very clever and reminds me of people within my circle of friends.
  • Food Network
  • American Idol
  • Prison Break
  • Zappos.com
  • Whoppers, the candy not the burger (Hopefully this changes soon. They can’t be good for me.) removed 03/22/08
  • Dachshunds, the minis
  • Blogs–reading and writing them.
  • Photography
  • Preservation of almost any kind (I think that’s why I like photography so much.)
  • Writing with a pencil (This is a new one–and a weird one.)
  • Water and only water
  • Microsoft Excel (I use it to organize everything. Hmm. Maybe I like charts.)
  • Sobe Life Water (added 03/22/08… I’m trying this out. So far so good. I wonder if there is a life water that can improve memory.) eh, that was a quick one. I crossed this out a few weeks ago, but it has made a return to the list, primarily because the hubby likes it now and I’m trying to get him to stop drinking so much crap like soda.

american idol under healthy obsessions? hmm, so does that mean eating potato chips all day is healthy too?
john mayer???!! gakk i’d rather be stuck in an elevator for 40 hours than listen to john mayer.. o wait, they’d probably be playing him there! runnnnn

Healthy or not, Zappos is on my list too. To be more specific, my latest acquisition - these sweet delicious babies I just bought there :).
