etsy store

Am I behind the times? Have you heard of the word “etsy” before? It wasn’t until the last few days that the term “etsy” showed itself. I stumbled upon this website that was selling handmade stuff like headbands and tote bags, and the blogger used the word all over the place.

Then tonight, the word popped up on some other blogs I was looking at randomly. So this got me googling. Did you know that there is a website, etsy.com that showcases handmade goods? No idea, here. Wiki says this about it, “Etsy is a website which focuses primarily on providing the general public with a way to buy and sell handmade items. The site follows in the tradition of open craft fairs, giving sellers personal storefronts where they list their goods for a fee. It has been compared to “a crafty cross between Amazon and eBay and ‘your grandma’s basement.’”

That’s just incredible. The world’s best-selling album has been around for 25 years. I remember as a kid listening to that album and wondering what the heck Michael Jackson was saying at the beginning of PYT. To this day, I still don’t know… and I don’t want to know. I also wondered why MJ pronounced “kid” as “chid” in Billie Jean. I was a kid myself when this album came out so I didn’t understand a lot of things.

If you haven’t heard it, here’s a cool re-make of Beat It by Fall Out Boy. I don’t know anything about the group, but I dig that they asked John Mayer to do the solo. Shred it, Johnny!
